Self-help
A D2L course account containing organized links to videos on a variety of topics can be accessed here.  If for whatever reason you aren’t able to access the D2L course at the link above, contact Zack and he’ll get you squared away.

Mentoring
A number of seasoned online teachers have offered to serve as mentors to faculty new to teaching in hybrid and online modalities.  If you have experience teaching online or hybrid courses, please consider becoming a mentor.  Contact Zack for details.

Community
The FLC Online Educators group meets each semester to discuss issues related to teaching with technology, and provides a supportive environment for you to ask questions and hear from experienced online and hybrid faculty.  For Fall 2015, the group will be meeting on Sept. 11, Nov. 13, at 10:00 AM, and Dec. 11  at 11:00 AM in the Innovation Center (FL1-130).  Additional information here.

Step 3 – Request D2L Development Courses
If you’re going to teach online or hybrid, chances are you’ll be using D2L, LRCCD’s “official” Learning Management System (LMS).  If you’re new to the system, you’ll probably need a Development course in which to work.  Details on requesting a course can be found at http://flcinnovation.org/d2l
